Bio

I was born and raised in Washington, DC and studied with various teachers including a graduate of the University of Maryland masters program in piano performance, and the retired chair of the Catholic University piano department. After attending UNC-CH 1978-82 and BGSU graduate school in Ohio 1982-84, and serving as a faculty member in group and private piano for the Creative Arts program at BGSU, I moved back to Chapel Hill in 1987 and have been active in teaching, performance, and service ever since. I teach classical piano for all ages and levels. I encourage students to explore other styles, including popular, jazz, church music according to interest.
