Chinese-American Pianist Clara Yang is currently Assistant Professor of Piano at UNC-Chapel Hill. She has performed as a soloist with renowned conductors such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Grant Llewellyn, Jeff Tyzik, and Carl St. Claire. She has performed solo recitals in notable venues and series such as Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, Remonstrantse Kerk (The Netherlands), the Seymour Centre (Sydney, Australia), the Barclay Theater (Irvine, California), Kodak Hall at the Eastman Theater (Rochester, New York), the Sunset Center (Carmel, California), Meymandi Concert Hall (Raleigh, North Carolina), Carolina Performing Arts Series, (Chapel Hill, North Carolina), Dame Myra Hess Series (Chicago Cultural Center), and Mas i Mas at the Museu d’Història de Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain). She frequently gives masterclasses in the U.S. and abroad, such as King’s College in London and the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona. Her piano and chamber music students have been prizewinners of numerous competitions.
